Outback-Day Five
We left our underground bunkhouse before light to catch sunrise over the Breakaways - location for films such as "Mad Max 3" Then we drove for over 700 kms and into the Northern Territory to get to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for sunset. On the way we stopped at the Aboriginal community of Indulkana, where we visited an arts centre. Uluru is amazing, it stands in the middle of a huge flat plain and is colossal, changing colour as the day goes on.

The 'Crazy German' (as no-one is sure of his name) who has been travelling around Australia with his two camels for the past 5 years!

Toilet stop on the Stuart highway

One of the many huge roadtrains that travel through the outback from Darwin to Adelaide

A 'Thorny Devil' - spotted on the side of the road by our guide 'Eagle Eyes' Pete

Those toilets made me giggle! I love that thorny devil, it's really cool!!! They must be like quite small in real life... are they? That road train is a right beast, I wouldn't like to crash against that thing!!!
